Conversation with self

It's been long since I have penned anything. Caught up in official and not so official work, I have been circumnavigating thoughts of how to revive my blog which I had borne from my itch to express. I have changed as a person through the years. Life has nourished me with tales of sustenance. If I were to write stories today, their flavours would be different. Curries never taste the same twice. The innocence of stories narrated earlier smile at me. I do not return the smile, but hide my scowl. But why? Not for the changed me, but how I miss writing.  Expressing through free flow of words has always been a forte. Not spoken. Only written. While I speak, I bring with it the burden of my thoughts and mood swings. Heavy and silent. When I write, I sing through my words, a melody that is sweet to my mind. I am at freedom to edit or even delete before your eyes gape at them. The freedom of expression through writing, where the frills of untailored emotions are neatly tucked into s...

To start afresh...

To breathe life into these pages, that once was my abode To paint them with colors of characters I never could be To live the life of children that smell only of goodness To love, to be unrequited in love To celebrate, to be lonely To the words that gave my thoughts the intensity I wanted I bow. To Sanaya, the esteemed who smiled back at life To Munna, so young and tender who is back on her feet To Manish, who happily holds his wife and daughter in his busrides To Surabhi, living life on her terms To all the daughters who fought and lost their battles for us to win the war To Smriti, who is Appu's Vaachi too To Malavika, who no more carries the bundle of that man stories, but memories of a father she never had To Shriya, growing up to dance in the rain and run up the hills To Suchita, who is more than an aspiring feminist To moments of fractured freedom, where hope bleeds To the dreamer that Nandana continues to be and Miriam learnt to become To Preeti's unb...

FOOD FOR THOUGHT

Hectic would be the best word to define life these days.I believe that the concept of 'survival of fittest' is more apt today.Man has changed a lot.The busy schedule of life is in a state of dynamics, trying to accomodate still more and in its course has pulled in, its very basic elements...individuals into a churning machinery, where man at the end of the day is a drained body of flesh and blood. If once we used to complain of monotony in the static way of life, now we have more reasons to complain and fret about.A mere 24 hours can produce a 'will take 48 hours' result because man has been trained to suit himself to this computer age where he himself is an automated machine that feeds on air, food and water..At the ring of the alarm, wakes the scientific age man and the rest automatically falls into place. He moves about, talks, does this, does that, what not...but sans emotions.Where should man search for it?In the screen of your computer..or the cabin of your office..or the st...

When we sit down to start somthin afresh, plenty of thoughts shoot across our minds...ideas pour in,infact they drench us..concepts choke us..images fascinate us..reflections pamper us..so many little things bother us and we are spoilt for the perfect beginning...(jus like the disastrous start i had wth ma blog-minutes b4, i had typed ma first post....bt deleted it[of course,UNKNOWINGLY!]...the worst possible start for a beginner)...and our brain exercises....but somewhere...the vacuum seeps in...and the connection is lost...nothin materialises .....and v r left, where v started....everythin afresh, but thoughts exhausted.. All this while, i was wondering how to go around wth ma frst topic...what to type...in what way to type....all these whats and whys and hows bother any beginner and i am no xcption...bt its not anythin new...cos i often come across such 'special moments' when i sit down to pen ma thoughts for competitions..even half an hour from the strike of the bel...
